Matt Evans

£35 for 30 Minutes | £60 for 60 Minutes

Born in Zambia, Matt moved around a great deal during his childhood, living in places as varied as South Africa, Paignton, and Benidorm. In 1995, at the age of 18, he settled in Cheltenham, where he discovered golf and Cleeve Hill Golf Club, sparking a lifelong passion.

He worked his way down to a scratch handicap and went on to win two consecutive Club Championships. Soon after, he turned professional and embarked on his PGA qualification, which he completed in 2004.

Since then, Matt has devoted more than twenty years to helping golfers achieve their own goals. As most golfers will agree, work on the golf swing is never truly finished. It is a constant process of evolution, driven by the passion to find that perfect swing.

His approach to coaching is rooted in a love of the fundamentals first taught by Ben Hogan. Over the years, Matt has refined this foundation with the use of modern technology, which removes guesswork and provides a clear understanding of what is happening within a golfer’s swing. Nearly all tour professionals rely on launch monitors, and he encourages amateur golfers to embrace similar tools and data to better understand their own techniques.

Whether guiding beginners through the basics, fine-tuning the skills of experienced players, or ensuring a perfect club fit, Matt takes pride in delivering personalised, results-focused coaching.

Away from the course, he is married with three children. Life at home is full of energy and rounded off by walking their dog, Seve – named after his all-time golfing hero and one of the game’s greatest icons.

FAQs About Our Indoor Golf Lessons

How Much Are Golf Lessons?

In the UK, golf lessons usually cost between £25 and £40 for 30 minutes, and £50 to £70 for a full hour with a PGA professional.

At GolfQube, our golf lessons are competitively priced at £35 for 30 minutes or £60 for 60 minutes, giving you access to expert PGA coaching in our TrackMan indoor driving range bays.

Are Golf Lessons Worth It?

Golf lessons are worth it because they help players improve faster, avoid bad habits, and gain confidence on the course.

Working with a PGA golf coach means you’ll get clear, tailored advice and drills that really make a difference. When you come to GolfQube, every lesson is personalised, with technology providing instant feedback to accelerate your progress.

How Many Golf Lessons Should I Take?

There’s no set number, but most golfers see the best results after 4 to 6 lessons with a PGA professional. This allows time to focus on fundamentals, build consistency, and track progress.

Our PGA professional coaches will help you design a lesson plan that suits your goals, whether you want to improve your swing, lower your scores, or just enjoy the game more.

What Should I Do Before a Golf Lesson?

Before a golf lesson, arrive a little early, stretch, and bring your usual clubs if you have them. It helps to think about the areas of your game you’d like to improve, such as driving, putting or short game.

GolfQube’s PGA golf coaches will guide you from the start, so even beginners can relax knowing everything is taken care of.

Are Golf Lessons Worth It For Beginners?

Yes, golf lessons are especially valuable for beginners because they help you learn good habits from the start. A PGA coach can show you the basics of grip, stance, and swing in a way that’s easy to understand.

At GolfQube, our PGA pros make learning fun and accessible, offering lessons for juniors, ladies, and complete beginners in a welcoming environment.

Do I Need Golf Clubs for Lessons?

No, you don’t need your own clubs to take lessons. At most venues, including GolfQube, clubs are available to use, so anyone can take part.

If you already own clubs, you’re welcome to bring them, and our PGA professionals can also advise on whether they’re the right fit for your game.

How Long Are Golf Lessons?

Golf lessons are most commonly 30 or 60 minutes long. Shorter sessions are ideal for focusing on specific areas of your game, while an hour allows more in-depth coaching.

At GolfQube, you can book either 30 minutes or 60 minutes with our PGA professionals, depending on how much detail you’d like to cover.

How Do Indoor Golf Lessons Work?

Indoor golf lessons use launch monitors and high-speed cameras to track your swing and ball flight in real time. The technology shows you accurate data on ball speed, spin, carry distance and more, so you and your coach can see exactly what’s happening.

All lessons at GolfQube take place in TrackMan-powered bays, trusted by PGA Tour players, giving you feedback you can trust as you learn and improve.
